Why I shouldnt write today?
I wanted to make daily blogging a, hmm, daily thing! Unfortunately thoughts just vanish like that sometimes – zap! And when thoughts vanish, words vanish. And writing without words, could be a little difficult. The important thing to know about writing is to know when not to write. Obviously I do not know the important thing!
And hence, I am here.
Hmm so. Hmm. I don’t believe this. Absolute blankness. Could be this new habit I am acquiring. Sleeping early. Waking up early. Somebody who said that line about early to bed, wrote it before meeting me. That’s for sure. And I have been informed that having chosen the profession I have started on, meant I am essentially something – a maverick, or in lighter words, an eccentric. Coming from very high authority, and an experienced and respected person in the field, I accept that wholeheartedly (and admittedly, cheerfully). Hence I will be taking every effort to reestablish my late-hour strolls and early morning slumbers. Emm. Right. From tomorrow. Yawn!

@sajith, LOL thanks for the river-reference but lets not get carried away. Hehe. Anyway I think its wise not to write when you dont feel like. Check this blogger’s way of expressing it. She has said it neatly in a few lines.

If only we could put down on paper…er…on screen every single awesome thought that flitted thru our head, wouldn’t that be a hoot? I don’t think u’r ideas galore will ever be exhausted, u just need to find the right vibe. Whenever u get good bloggy topics, jot it down. I do the same, If i didn’t i’ll forget them later on. my idea booklet looks as if some little chicken walked all over it. Relax, take a breather if u want to.

You wrote ‘The important thing to know about writing is to know when not to write’. But I think: we should write when we feel to write. If we don’t feel so, don’t write or stop writing some thing when we lose the feeling. The important thing is to learn to make a decision whether something we wrote should be published or not. Seeing our own mediocre output is also beneficial (in many ways).

@M.Rose, I am with you there. And dont you hate it when the best words come to you everytime you are not in a position to jot it down, out of reach of a paper and pen.
@sajith, yea, shes done a good job with it like all her other works
@manu, I like to disagree - it only works against yourself when you force yourself to write, on not feeling to. I dont see any sort of personal benefit in seeing mediocre work I write.

hmm! it may be just one bad un-eventful day; for that u really want to make such a big decision?
U r like a big ever flowing river of thoughts…temporary interruptions in patches could be there at times but never think of droughts! cheers!!!
